Short Western video and the 180 degree rule

Above is a clip of a film which is based on the theme: Western shootout. The most popular scene usually showcases a fight within a bar using a very fast-paced editing to emphasize the fast-paced and intense action that generally takes place. Another extremely common scene is usually of a deserted place with two cowboys facing each other, all done in slow pace to build tension.

The 180 Degree Rule:


After carrying out the task of creating a short Western shootout clip, we were told about the 180 degree rule and how that helps to follow the professional, conventional way of shooting any video that includes two or more characters in it.
