Equipment and props
Camera equipment and
laptop: As our main tool for recording the music video, we will be using a
DSLR camera Canon D700. To successfully use this equipment, we will definitely
charge it before travelling to shoot and we will also be taking the camera
charger just in case. We are aware that we might be stranded with all sorts of
issues such as low camera battery. If such issue occurs, we can pop into a
coffee shop that provides sockets for customers to use, and solve the issue by
charging the camera there. We will also make full use of other equipment’s such
as a tripod which will help us to achieve consistent and professional scenes
without any interruptions such as hand shake. The tripod will also be used to
capture still close-ups and mid-shots which we plan to include.
GoPro set: The GoPro set is
another action camera of choice that we are planning to take with us during the
recording process. This is because it is lightweight and compact, yet it can
deliver crystal-clear videos with high quality images being produced.
Portable flashlight: This
tool will prove to be extremely helpful in areas where the light source might
be particularly limited because it will allow us to provide greater light
source in certain scenes where appropriate.
Flare stick: The
flare stick will be used away from the actress/actors face to avoid any
potential risks that could occur. It will also be used in an abandoned area so
that it avoids any public damage.
Budget
Our main cost includes travel, train journey to Central London where we will film parts of our music video, whilst the other scenes will be based in a different location. This is because as a group, we have discussed that we prefer to include at least 2 or 3 different locations to shoot the music video because during the research process of watching professional music videos that really intrigue us; we found that this is a key convention we noticed. The other cost of the overall budget includes food for each person for maximum 5 days which is the estimated number of days we plan to film. The budget also includes props such as flare sticks that we are interested in purchasing and incorporating within the music video. This is because it is an interesting element that has been added within the music video we are getting inspired by. Depending on our filming days and time management, the overall cost is likely to decrease or increase.

Artist analysis/cast notes
The following will display our final chosen actors for our Electronic dance music video. Within this section I will provide different facts about them and why we have chosen them to play each specific role in our music video. We have decided to include two characters: one male and another a female. This is because it will be most suitable to helps us get our story and song across as it will portray a boy-girl love relationship story. It will also enable the audience to interact and engage with the music video because considering the uses and gratifications theory, they will view the music video and want to be like the characters in it and be able to have a love relationship as such.
Characteristics/ why we chose them as our actors:
Ahmed and Hannah are teenagers who quickly take on new styles and trends. Hannah is interested in current fashion trends which she follows and regularly updates. Whereas Ahmed is interested in drama and film production. this helps us in terms of acting as we wouldn't need to direct him frequently and will know how to play the role correctly. They are both live a 'typical' teenage lifestyle. In addition, they both have very similar characteristics and this is why we choose them. They are fun to be around and provide positive influence to the people around them. It is their nature to be "young, wild & free", making them very adventurous and spontaneous. So for that reason we have chosen them to play the role within the music video. However, we have chosen Ahmed to be our main actor within the music video, this is because he is a male which represents the singer a lot more. Overall, by choosing these two characters to join our crew has ensured our filming will go as planned because they are well organised and good to work with as they are good listeners. Furthermore, both of our actors are very photogenic and have previous experiences in such projects. Due to their experiences our group will have a better advantage in sticking to the specified time and produce effective footage in order to produce and successful and appropriate Electronic Dance music video.
